Certain anatomical changes related to Downs syndrome and trisomy 18 can be seen during an anatomy scan (ultrasound). Usually depending on a combination of the scan and blood tests you will be given a risk level and the option of having additional testing, such as an amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling or one of the newer non invasive prenatal tests, like MaterniT21, Harmony or Panorama.
