Q: Help! I have a water blister on the side/tip of my nipple.

So yeah....that kinda sums it go. I was pumping and noticed it was hurting a bit more than usual and when I took the pump off I noticed a huge blister that's obviously filled with water (like the one you would get if you got burned) on the side of the tip of my nipple. I'm pretty sure its not a clogged duct as I got 7 oz out of that breast during this pumping session. What should I do? I don't think popping it is a good idea, but I can't use the electric pump on it due to it would bust and get in my babies milk. I guess I will hand express, but what do I do to make it heal? Sooner that is. And is it safe to give my daughter milk from that side as long as it doesn't burst in her milk? Thank you in advance.

kellymom.com is my go-to for these kinds of things! It sounds like a milk blister to me.
