I wouldn't worry about what day you had intercourse on. As long as the baby is measuring good and developing at the correct rate, then you should have no worries. Sometimes babies implant later and so you're due date could be off because of that, also. Most doctors will go by the first day of your last period. But, like I said, I wouldn't worry much if the baby is growing and all looks good.

ok, so why did my doctor suggest to document the days of sexual intercourse
and if my last menstrual cycle only lasted for 2 days when they normally last for 5 days, does that mean that it was not a period but just spotting or reaction to implantation.

The 40 weeks of pregnancy begin on day 1 of your period. So technically you already get credit for 2 weeks or so of pregnancy when you were t even pregnant yet.

Drs will generally estimate your due date by the first date of your last period. Then, an early ultrasound will refine that date. Early ultrasounds are extremely accurate in determining due dates bc, in the beginning, the fetus grows at a predictable rate. Your due date may be off by a few days, but no more than that. Subsequent ultrasounds will also reconfirm your due date. Unless it is way off, they won't change your date.

Pregnancy is determined from the first day of your last menstural cycle but when they scan you they determine your due date from the measurements of your baby. These are only an estimate. I believe that my due date isn't accurate either. I think I should be due a week later than they have said but as it's only an estimate it's not too much of a big deal.
