Q: Constipation during pregnancy

Hi ladies. I have had constipation from day 1, I'm now 18 weeks. It used to be really bad with hardly going at all, but now i do manage to go almost everyday, if not ever other day (sorry if TMI). After i have been i do have quite a bit of blood though and I'm not sure why. I don't have to push super hard or anything but they are a little painful and rock hard! Is this normal? Is it just that my insides are inflamed slightly?

I can live with it just wondered if i should be concerned or not really.

Thanks for listening :-)

400mg of Magnesium Citrate, Malate or Glycinate (not oxide) a day, everyday...u'll be nice and regular. Read up on it, its a very important mineral in the human body, one of the most abundant and most ppl are deficient in it and dont even realize it.

I tried incorporating more fiber in my diet. Whole grain pastas and whole grain breads helped me tremendously!

I had that issue, your digestive system slows down with pregnancy hormones and all that good stuff. The best thing that helped me was spinach smoothies with Flax seed oil and banana. It REALLY helped me get my flow going haha. Its so uncomfortable, hope you feel better!
