Q: How long after AF was due did you get a Positive home pregnancy test?

Period is late by 3 days (which is always prompt). I know I'm pregnant (This would be my 3rd pregnancy) and just to a hpt with a Negative result. Just need the + result so hubby can believe me.

I got the faintest of faint lines on DPO10. Didn't get a strong line until about DPO16, 2 days after AF was due (though I didn't test inbetween DPO12 and DPO15.

Are you testing with your first morning urine? HCG levels should be easier to detect when you first get up in the morning, so if you are not already, I'd suggest testing first thing in the morning. If you're already getting up in the night (as you might be even early on with a subsequent pregnancy), then if there's a predictable time when you typically wake up and you've been in bed several hours, try testing then. Otherwise, it may take a few more days, or you may even need to go to a doc for a quantitative HCG that would give you complete evidence that you are pregnant.

I got a BFP 8DPO. It was faint... but was there. I took another 10DPO and it was strong. Everyone is different though...

Update on my question:

It's 4 days after my missed period and I took a First Response test and it was NEGATIVE. I also bought a Equate Early Pregnancy test and saw a VERY faint line after 8minutes. It's so faint that I don't feel comfortable showing it to hubby yet. I guess I will wait 2 days to re-test.

I got a faint positive on the HP test at DPO10 (so that was 5 days before my period was due). Also not so common to get a positive that early.

I tested that early because I already felt that something was happening.

My twin sister who is currently pregnant with twins got a positive at 8 days DPO (on afternoon urine!).

I got a positive result a few days before my missed period. I believe thats really rare though. I would just keep testing everyday! Let us know.
