Q: Need reassurance cysts on brain if you have been told this

My son has cysts on the brain. I am told all my screenings came back fine and the cysts are the only abnormality from the 18 week anatomy scan. The doctor saw no point in doing further ultrasounds because my blood work was fine. I am changing clinics at the moment. Did the first doctor give me a proper response? Will my son be alright? Will the new clinic possibly want to do a follow up ultrasound? I am so scared there is something wrong.

Hi, i was told the same thing this week about my baby boy. I was also told not to worry its only an issue if you have other signs which looks like neither of us do. It doesn't mean I'm not totally stressed out though. They can do another ultrasound around 28 weeks to see if the cysts have gone as they often do by this time. I'm going to ask for another Ultrasound then. You can also get a level 2 ultrasound so they can look at the baby's facial features and hands etc to make sure they are ok.; If the cysts haven't gone at 28 weeks i will ask for one of those too.

I have read a lot about the cysts and everyone will tell you its fine, part of development and not to worry! Ha, easier said than done! I kind of wish i was never told!
