I have the same problem but i'm just dealing w it bc I dont want to take anything just to be on the safe side. I was taking benadryl once a day before I got pregnant and that worked well for me but I stopped once I found out because even though many doc's say it is okay it is still a class C drug which in my book isn't okay to take. My doc said Zyrtec is fine though. I think it is a B drug. So it's a little safer. :)

My doctor said it is okay to take Zyrtec, which I took during my previous pregnancy and this one too. Definitely check with your doctor first, but there are things you can do for relief. GL!

I LOVE a good saline rinse/neti pot when my sinuses are bothering me. I've also recently started using essential oils and I can tell it makes a difference!

I agree with both ladies. Have heard that benadryl is okay. I don't like taking pills of any kind though so I just use saline spray , mine's called Ayr and they sell it at Walmart and it is pretty cheap. Along the same lines is a saline rinse (neti pot) which there is kind of a learning curve to lol but when I get sinus infections that's my go to thing as it flushes everything right out! =) Hope you can get some relief soon. Mine are pretty killer right now too.

I found that saline spray was helpful when my allergies were really bad, helped a lot with my sinus pain and congestion

If you HAVE to take something during the 1st trimester, my Dr said benadryl was safe. I took it with my 1st for morning sickness & severe insomnia. I would talk to your dr, however, before taking anything in case he has a different recommendation.
