Q: 21w2d scan doctor didn't wanna confirm gender, please help!!!

This week I had an scan at 21w2d and the doctor didn't wanna confirm the gender. Last time I went (17w4d) I could clearly see a girl, but he said only 80% chances, and this time baby didn't help much, but i could still see the three lines its suppose to have if it is a girl.

The doctor thinks it is a girl, but he said he wouldn't confirm that it is in fact a girl because he couldn't see that the baby it is not a boy.
But the last time the baby had the legs wide open and we could not see any penis....

So I'm travelling to see my family and I will have a baby sower, my hubby want to make the invites as if it is a girl, what you think???

Next scan only when I came back, so it will be a guess for now...

Could the doctor be so wrong at 21 weeks??
What should I do???

If you think you saw girls' parts, and the doctor says he "thinks it's a girl," I would go with girl. They will never tell you for 100% sure, in case they are wrong. But, if dr thinks it's a girl, it probably is.

The doctors will never tell you 100% the gender of the baby. With an ultrasound they can still be wrong so I was always told "looks like". It is never definite until baby is born. We were told girl at a 26 week doctors scan and found out it was a boy at the 27 week ultrasound. I had them check at every scan after that to be sure even though we had pretty clear pics of his under carriage! If you have a picture of the ultrasound where you were told it is a girl, you could post it on here and people could tell you what the think the gender is from that? Otherwise it sounds like it just may be a guess. Sorry and good luck!
