Q: Blood drawn to check HCG levels!

I had my blood drawn to check hcg levels. I was wondering how long it took you to get the results back? Did they make you wait until they had drawn blood a second time ( 48 hrs later ) and gotten results back for both times to tell you?

My lab requested that I wait 48 hours but I got my blood drawn on a Friday night so I just called Monday. They don't need both sets to tell you what the first count was. I'm silly so I took the number they gave me and divided it in half, counted back 2 days then divided it in half again, counted back. I figured there was less than 25 when I got my BFP which matched up with the count and math I did. Probably not scientific, but it the me huge piece of mind.
