It says I have gained too much weight too, but my doctor says I'm right where I should be and there is nothing to be concerned with. I have been terrified about gaining too much, but baby is growing perfectly, belly measuring exact to the week I am, and my doctor is not worried about my weight at all. Everyone's bodies are different and basing on BMI (which ONLY takes into account height and weight - not muscle or anything else), isn't a very good indicator. If you are still worried, mention to your OB at next appointment, but it sounds like you are just fine and being healthy for your baby!

Most places say you should aim for a pound a week in the second trimester if you're a healthy weight going in for your height (i.e. that BS thing we call BMI). If you were underweight before pregnancy, you should aim for 1.25lbs/week; likewise, if you were overweight it is suggested that you try to 3 lbs every 4 weeks (so 3/4th of a pound a week).
Ultimately, the guides online are just that - guides. They aren't cardinal rules and if you're really concerned, you should talk to your doctor/midwife.
