our family is out of town too. when I was pregnant with my daughter I talked to my hubbys aunt who arranged a dessert party for all the family and everyone just thought it was just because. We called a friend of hubbys aunt and told her the sex. She got a balloon (was supposed to get an its a girl balloon but I'm guessing where she went didn't have one, so she just got a baby themed one and put a sign on the balloon that read 'its a girl'). Then she put it in a box. At the party hubbys aunt told hubbys mom that a package came for her at the aunts house. She looked all confused but opened it and the balloon came out and everyone got to find out at the same time. :) She got to open it because it's her grandbaby. haha. And it was the first.
This time I am not doing a big shindig, but decided to have hubbys sister go pick out some blue or pink frosted cupcakes and a card and set it on the table (say its from us) and see what they say. Not sure about it yet, have to run it by the hubby.
