Q: Lines not getting darker, should I be worried?!

I found out a few days ago that I am pregnant, first with two VERY faint positives on blue-dye tests, then with a digital the next day with FMU. I purchased a few dollar-store tests to make sure it was real (don't go to the dr. until Aug 5) and while I have gotten faint positives on them, they don't seem to be getting darker. My DH thinks I'm being obsessive and gets upset when I mention it, but should I be concerned? Or can a difference in test brand/dilution of urine/other factors be to blame?

Thanks everyone! Just an update, took a test with FMU this morning and got a very strong, unmistakable BFP! I feel much better and can relax until my appointment!

I tested every other morning, each time with FMU, after getting my positive this past Sunday. I had taken a test Saturday in the middle of the day after DH and I decided we were going in to town so that I could buy more tests, and got "something." On Sunday morning, the line was faint, but definitely a line. On Tuesday morning, the line was detectably darker, but not by much. So, I was expecting it to be a little slow, but by Thursday morning I had a definitely strong line. So, in the beginning, while they describe the numbers as "doubling" every other day, I really think there might be more fluctuation as far as some days they don't increase as much, while others they may increase more.

Your levels of the pregnancy hormones double every 2 to 3 days, so if you did it overnight you may not have given it enough time. If all of them are testing positive you should be fine. :)

Different tests have different amounts of dye in them. Step away from the tests; you will drive yourself crazy before your appointment.
