Q: Middle of night insomnia?

I'm just about 12 weeks now. The past few weeks I've been waking up around 3-4 a.m. to pee. I don't turn on any lights, go quickly, and shuffle right back to bed. I feel exhausted but then I can't get back to sleep. I'll toss and turn for two hours then sleep from like 6 or 7 a.m. until 8 or 9. I'm not obsessing or anxious. I've tried counting exercises or visualizing relaxing things. Nothing works. Then I'm tired again all day. It's making me nuts and my husband wakes up from my fidgeting sometimes too. I feel so bad!

Anyone else have this problem? When does it let up?

Yeah i have the same problem and it's all from the first getting up for a wee.
I'm 19 wks and i've had it going on for about 9 wks give or take a wk. i do the same thing with not turning the lights on but i get back in bed and the brain starts up.
I have tiered eyes but still find myself awake for a few hours then fall asleep only and hr or 2 till i have to get up or my daughter then wants me to on day i don't have to. Its the reason i'm on right now. Did quite well today cause i woke at 6 and its nearly 7 now. Its normally 4am or 20 to 4 . Always that time.
I really don't know what to surgesst even with this being my 3rd pregnancy apart from just having to take sleeps when possible during the day to try and make up for it.
I'm sorry to say it's more likely to stay like this till bsbys hete then it's baby keeping you awake, kind of is now really.
I spent most of my 2nd awake at night and asleep in the day till my son came home from school but i wasn't working was able to do that

I'm sorry to say but Im 38 weeks now and I've had the same issue during my whole pregnancy. In the beginning you have to pee at night and toward the end of the pregnancy, you have to pee at night. It's just one of the perks of pregnancy lol. Good luck and I hope you start getting some rest

I had severe insomnia for most of the first trimester and several weeks of the second trimester. It finally got some better for me around week 20. Around that time my SO got me a pregnancy pillow (snoodle?) and I started putting a dab of essential oils on my feet, back and pillow each night (I've used both Serenity and Peace & Calming - both work about the same for me). I don't know if either or both of those things did the trick, but I've been sleeping noticeably better since then. I still don't sleep through the night, but there are fewer hours spend laying awake for sure!

I have had the same problem since around 8 weeks & its gradually gotten worse. I have no problem falling asleep, but i will wake up around 1/2am, if I'm lucky I can fall asleep until 3/4 and I will get up again to pee, then I will be wide awake until around 6/6:30 then I have to get up at 7! I think I got 3 hours total last night but since I turned 14 weeks my mind will just be wide awake all day and I don't feel tired at all until around 5/6pm. I can't remember the last time I slept through the whole night. I wish I knew something that could help!
