Q: Vicks vapor rub? Is it safe to use? Have a cold.

I can't get to a pharmacy because I live in a small town. Dh bought me Vicks vapor rub. I called a nurse line that s with my insurance company and they told me to ask my ob. Can't call them now. Wanna sleep comfortably tonight. Thought Vicks might help. I plan on either putting a little bit in boiling water so I can breath a little or a little bit on my chest? Please help if you have any info. Thank you all!

Glad you asked this, because I was wondering the same thing! So stuffed up can't breathe properly then not being able to breathe right makes me lightheaded really stinks lol

Yes it is. Rub as much as you want on your chest and even some on your feet and some socks on. Feel better soon.

I had a really bad cold towards the end of my first trimester. My OB told me vapor rub is fine, as well as plain robitussin (if you are mucusy, too).
