Q: Can I still expect pregnancy after i get my period

My first day of my last period was on September 15. Me and my husband had intercourse without any condoms from Oct 8-Oct 12 everyday for at least 4 times. We are eagerly expecting pregnancy but I got October month periods on 14 OCT. Can I still expect pregnancy even after i get my menstrual cycle or we have to try our luck again. Appreciate if anyone write for our query
Thanks

The girls are right, it's very very unlikely that a period would still mean you were pregnant. Some women do bleed in early pregnancy but it's nothing like a period.

Having intercourse during your ovulation window unfortunately doesn't always result in fertilisation or implantation. When you start to ovulate you body creates a really hostile environment for sperm so that only the very best of the best even make it up to the tubes and even then it's not guaranteed that those few make it to the egg or inside and the egg may not implant even if fertilised.
With my son it took a month without really trying but this time took the tests for almost 2 years and only fell pregnant twice.
Don't be disheartened though, try popping over to countdowntopregnancy.Com as they have great tools for charting your temperature and ovulation plus lots of women who are starting their journey to conception too.
Good luck and all the best, hopefully we'll see you back here with you bfp soon x

It may help you to do some research about ovulation and when you are most fertile. Since you got your period I'd say you missed this cycle, but if you try again in about 2 weeks(buy an ovulation predictor kit to tell you exactly)with the same tenacity you did this time, you probably have a pretty good chance for next month! Good luck:)

Unlikely because you most likely missed your fertile window If you had sex Oct 8-12 and started a new cycle Oct 14th. You will have more success if you have intercourse 2+weeks before your next period. If your having difficulties pinpointing your fertile window you can buy ovulation predictor kits which gives you a more accurate time frame for conceiving and those can be bought at any drug store,Walmart, target ect..... Good luck and best wishes :)
