You are partly correct but there can still be a nub present at 18 weeks on a girls scan, all babies grow at different rates in the womb.
If you look at the first scan in Cheynas batch (and many other 16wk scans) you will see a nub on a scan a sonographer has said girl.
If they were perfectly formed by 16 weeks there wouldn't be gender mistakes realised at the later scans just as her sonographer said and even then they won't fully confirm a gender.

At 16 weeks the gender isn't based on the nub! MOST babies nubs have fully developed into the genitals by that point! 16 weeks is the first times you can check for gender, it's just not super accurate because there is a small chance they weren't done developing and could change in the weeks after. But I got the tech to check for me at 16 weeks and it was based on a potty shot and he said girl, there was no nub, it was flat with 3 lines. We double checked at 18 weeks and it was still a girl.

I've just realised that i think two of your photos are potty shots which are no good to tell the sex this early as it all looks the same at this angle.
You need a side view of baby where you can see the genital nub in relation to the spine.
Hard tp describe but if you Google nub images theory you'll see what I mean lol.

Sianny is 100% correct those pictures are very unclear, I couldn't make anything out let alone the nub. Are the pictures sideways? Sorry.
I was lucky at 12 weeks my pictures are so clear and the nub is so clear, it's flat. Still only 60-70% until 20 weeks though. You need the baby to be in a good position to get a clear view of the nub. Sianny said everything I would of said. GL you'll have to wait until your 20weeks scan for the conformation, not long to wait. ;-) x

I'm sorry sweetie, it's really hard to see the nub in those pictures to be able to see.
The sonographer uses the direction the nub (this is what looks like boy parts in both sexes at this stage) is pointing in relation to the spine to see if it's pointing straight up to become the boy part or starting to lean down to vanish into girl parts. As you can see it better in person maybe that will help you see or Google nub theory to compare it with other scans x
