Q: How many take over the counter Gravol for morning sickness? Do you worry it can affect the baby?

In my first pregnancy I was sick 24/7 for 30 weeks out of 38.
I am currently 11-12 weeks pregnant and since 5th week (same as in 1st preg) I have been nauseous ALL Day and ALL night long, it can wake me from my sleep to be ill. I run a home daycare and my daughter is almost 3yr ol.
I tried prescription in both pregnancy and didn't work, no vomiting but still nauseous. So I tried on a pharmacist recommendation Pink Tablet Gravol 1 to max 2 a day. It takes about an hour to kick in but then I get up to 10 hours of relief. I wonder who else had to take nausea medication while pregnant, did you worry it would affect the baby?

This pregnancy it took trying 4 different types to find the right nausea medication for myself.
Even though I took anti sickness tablets with my son who turned out fine and is a happy healthy 2 year old i worried right up to her 20wk scan. it's only natural to be concerned which is why some ladies choose not too.
I feel things would have gotten worse if i hadn't taken them, I've not tried Gravol (Dimenhydrinate) but as with all meds it's not been tested but it's not had any concerns raised either.
Hope you feel better soon x
Oddly the prescription ones (the strong ones) never worked for me but the over the counter ones did.

I started taking Gravol around 12wks. I didnt have MS but I'm a chronic migrainer so my OB told me to take Gravol to help me keep down the Tylenol 3's he had me on. They worked beautifully and didnt affect the baby at all. Its normal to worry about anything that can harm baby, but I trust my OB and I trust my pharmacist. If u need 'em and they said it's ok, take 'em.
Feel better soon! =))
