Q: Difference between sciatica and pelvic girdle pain

Hi ladies, I need some assistance. These past couple of days I have been in excruciating pain. My pain is in the middle of my right butt cheek. I've gone on Google and Youtube, etc to find ways to relief this. Thing is im not sure if its sciatica or pelvic girdle pain...how do you tell one from the other and any home remedies???

I have pelvic girdle pain, and one thing that helps keep it at bay is keeping your knees together when changing position in bed, or sitting in a chair/car (sit butt first and move knees together) in my experience nothing makes it go away except having the baby but if you can remember to move your legs together it sure helps. Good luck.

Sciatica is a butt cheek pain for sure. Sometimes it can come higher but its either random shooting pain or constant issue.
Pelvic girdle is right in your very center kinda like cervix area but not that can make your hips and spine ache constantly.
They say to experiment with hot (not too hot) and cold compresses but I've not tried it as mine comes as random shooting pinches that make my leg give way.
