Q: When did you find out the sex of your baby?

My next appointment I will be 14 weeks and 5 days and was just curious what the chances of them being able to tell what we are having that early. I read that usually its between 15-18 weeks... Should I ask them that early or will it be pointless? what do ya think ladies??

i had an ultrasound done outside of the dr's office - which i didn't even know was available until i checked around. the ob wouldn't tell me until 20 weeks (still 1 week away!)... but, i wasn't feeling that patient ;).

i found out at 15 weeks that i'm carrying a girl. <3 the place i went specifically does "gender ultrasounds" at 15 weeks and forward.

Sometimes the tech can get a good view as early as 14 weeks and sometimes not, just depends on the skill of the tech and position of baby. But id still ask just in case they do see something :) i was 20 weeks when i found out.

normally some drs wait until your 18-20 wks that way everything can be seen. I found out at 22 becuase thats the earliest i could get in. I knew sshe was a girl then but no one else caught it because she was constantly moving. They had us in at 28 wks to confirm. Anything beyond 26 wks geets a little hard to veiw because of how big the baby is.
