Forgot to say the first 3 months I gained ten pounds, but I'm almost 34 weeks now and I've only gained a total of 20. I sure pudged out in the beginning though, too!

That's true, often times thirst registers as hunger; drink lots of water. But besides that, one of my favorite meals is rice, beans and scrambled eggs. It's filling and packed with lotsa good vitamins and minerals:)

I would guess your body might be trying to trick you into drinking more water if you are craving salty things. Are you getting the recommended amount? It'll be harder to snack on junk food if you are fuller on water. If you must have a salty snack maybe try some cheddar cheese and grapes, or maybe whole wheat unsalted pretzel chips with homemade hummus (or salsa). Are you hungry or feeling snackish? If it's the latter then try to take your mind off it by grabbing your water and going for a walk. You'll be happier later on when you can still move around. =)

I couldn't get enough to eat with my first pregnancy, I usually started my day with a sizable bowl of oatmeal. I would put and entire banana or pumpkin and nuts or raisins. Whatever I had to spice it up. I snacked on plain almonds, granola bars, greek yogurt (was more filling than regular), fruit and veggies. Pretty much whatever I could my hands on. Lunch was always leftovers from the night before and dinner was typical to pre pregnancy. Lots of pasta basically.
I spoke to my dr and they said to stay mindful of what I was eating and continue my exercise routine, I walk about a mile and a half daily. I gained 57 pounds in the end, I was pretty small to start, so don't freak yet. I lost it all within about six months, I didn't increase my exercise plan because I was nursing and didnt want to dry up to soon. My friend that wasn't nursing was in the same boat and lost her weight within three months.
Good luck and congratulations
