Q: Tmi alert! 4 months postpartum intercourse very painful!

So my baby is 16 weeks and I'm still having lots of pain and even some spotting whenever dh and I are intimate. I don't remember still having pain at this point with my first vaginal delivery. I don't even want to be intimate with my dh because of the pain. It seriously feels like the tears I had stitched up are being tore open again and it burns so bad. Has anyone else had this for this long and if so when did it get better? Just wanted to ask you ladies first before I talked to my doctor about it. Thanks!

If you don't mind me asking how bad was your tear. I'm feeling the same n sometimes even while doing normal activities I feel a strong pull down there.

No way. It's not normal and you know it. If course you have to talk to him and get it sorted. Could just be an infection that can be cleared up. :-)

Thanks I need to just go ahead and see my doctor although I'm not looking forward to talking to him about it but he has already seen and heard plenty during my pregnancy and delivery so I shouldn't make such a big deal out of it and do it instead of suffering.

My dh and I tried being intimate after 8 weeks postpartum, but it was just too painful then. I had to wait until 12 weeks and use plenty of personal lubricant before it "wasn't painful" But I can't say I enjoyed it again for quite some time.
Ask your Dr about it, he may be able to give you something to help. Good luck

Does it feel like a burning sensation, almost like rubbing sand paper during penetration? I had this issue for months at the end of my pregnancy and after. Turns out, I had a lack of estrogen, which made my lady parts very sensitive and not lubricated because of the very thin membranes. I was on the e-string (an estrogen supplement) that works just like the nueva ring BC. I only had to use it for 2 months and it made all the difference in the world! I went through many painful months though. If you want to chat, just message me.

Thank you. When I saw him at 7 weeks he checked everything and said all was good but it sure doesn't feel that way lol. My dh and I hadn't been intimate yet or I would have asked him about it then.

Sorry can't help here, you poor thing, sounds awful. We were back at it right on the 6w wait. Sounds like maybe some kind of infection as you said maybe to do with the tears not healing properly. I'm sure your doctor will fix you up asap. Talk to him/her asap. :-)
