Q: Pressure and sore "down there"

I will be 20 weeks tomorrow. We had our gender scan on Friday and we have one very healthy baby boy! However, I know I way overdid it this weekend with family in town and I was on my feet all day Saturday and Sunday. Now I have this sore feeling down in my lady parts and I have been feeling a lot of pressure down right above my pelvis. Is this normal? I am still feeling him move around a lot and I listened with my fetal Doppler and his heart rate is still very good. Just never have this feeling before and I don't know if it is something I should be concerned about. I also think I felt him kick for the first time down low too. My placenta is anterior, but right above my pelvis is felt like someone was flicking my belly from the inside. Could this be him kicking?

Definitely sounds like baby kicking! That's what it first felt like for me...little bubbles or flicks right behind my pubic hair line. I also felt major pressure right around 19 weeks. I felt like I had to cross my legs or the baby was going to fall out. I mentioned it to my doctor and they did an ultrasound to check my cervix just in case. It was long and closed up tight so they told me it was probably just the baby's head was low right against my cervix or just the baby and uterus starting to weigh more before rising up and out of the pelvis. I would call your doctor though because it's better to be safe and get checked out. One of my friends felt major pressure and went in and was told she was having the baby that day at only 26 weeks.
