Q: Need an alternative to Charlotte or Scarlett

I like the names Charlotte and Scarlett (if the baby happens to have red hair), but don't like that Charlotte has become more popular recently. Does anyone have any suggestions for something similar that might be less popular or more unique?

Sounds like you might like old school and/or southern girl names. Other suggestions might include: Josephine, Susannah, Clementine, Clara, Virginia, Darla, Jolene, Gail, Constance, Edith
Think of grandmothers or ancestors you might have. If you want less popular, I'd check the top 100 names list for the last few years to see if what you choose is currently on that list near the top....
Good luck!

I was going to name my first Charlotte if a girl (and it was a girl) but I too felt it is overused! I will give you the name I LOVE but my husband is refusing. Some may not like it, but I think it's beautiful and original. The name is Pearl :) I also love Rose, but that name is becoming more popular too. Grace is also a nice one.
