18w with my first! I think you're right, your anterior placenta is probably cushioning baby's movements.

I am in the same boat -I have been feeling the kicks since about 16 weeks but hubby has yet to feel them (20 weeks now)... so frustrating but I know in a few weeks time he won't have a problem ;)

I have an anterior placenta. I felt first kicks off and off around 19 weeks and my hubby felt them around 22 weeks. He had to press really hard and he could barely feel it. Now at almost 26 weeks anyone can touch where I tell them and they can feel it.

My friend had a forward placenta with her baby. She didn't start feeling kicks til she was 20 weeks. Father couldnt til I think she said 25 weeks. The legs and arms arent that strong yet
