I took the flagyll finished it all and it totally cleared up the BV which I am greatful for because it can weaken membranes if untreated. baby is great and had no adverse side effects, I would def recommend others not be scared to take this if your dr suggests it

I took it twice in my pregnancy, with the same hesitation as you. My baby is 16 months old and so far there are no signs taking Flagyl had any effect on him. When researching I came across certain articles that I shouldn't have read that talked about possible long term side effects for the fetus....and so far none of them have reared their ugly heads. I hated taking any med while pregnant.....but the benefits outweighed the risks according to my OB. BV can cause serious issues for the fetus and your cervix if left untreated.

But try to rest easy that I took it twice (second trimester) and the only thing it did was clear out the BV, thank goodness.
