Q: Is it normal to scar easily while pregnant?

I'm 8 weeks along and during the past month, every little scrape takes a long time to heal and when I does it scars! I've never been one to have a lot of scars so this is very strange to me and I'm afraid of what I'll look like by the time I deliver! ???? I know my body's main focus is growing the baby, but is there anything I can do (besides taking a normal prenatal vitamin) that might help my own body's health/heal-rate?

Generally, pregnancy has all sorts of different effects on the body. And every woman experience entirely different body hassles than the other. There can be whole new levels of this pregnancy sickness. But it is always advisable to contact your doctor as soon as possible if anything other than the usual happens with you. Because the risk is too much. There are chances; your baby might be at risk, or perhaps you yourself. It is always smart to be on your safer side and risking two lives for even a thing as small as a scar is not worth it. There is always a fair chance of you feeling like overreacting, but at the end of the day it is only saving you a whole lot of stress and probably any delayed and ignored illness. There is nothing more important than your baby growing right and healthy, no? Well, this is totally relatable and a valid concern at the same time. Although, in the case you posted my dear, I am a little concerned.

my dear, I am a little concerned. Because excessive scarring and bleeding, this can be a sign of poor blood clotting, and, blood thinning defect. Which in turn is very unusual. This can be even fatal during the time of your delivery because of a high blood loss, and, with your blood thinning condition, if it is left untreated can be a big deal later. I suggest you visit your gynecologist as soon as possible, to check on any severe chronic disease. Most probably she is going to check your platelets and recommend you diet rich in vitamin K. And until then, do not stress out, and, avoid any injury. Drink plenty of drinks, especially beetroot juice. Take care of your health and baby.
