Q: Stuffy nose at night-12 weeks

The last week or so I get a terribly stuffy nose at night. It's to the point where I can't even sniff in. The weather has been fluctuating the dew weeks from 50's one week to 90's the next. I believe it's seasonal but I have taken an allergy pill and no luck. Any suggestions?? I am going crazy trying to fall asleep with a stuffy nose.

I've been stuffy since around week 9, some days not too bad and others it can feel like I'm trying to swallow cotton wool. Sucking on Menthol sweets helps me a little, or using a steamer. Like tmhess I also use an extra pillow now, it does help.
Sorry to not be of more help, I know it sucks :-(

I tried taking an allergy pill but it didn't help. I've spent the whole summer with a stuffy nose, usually just one side. Of course, changes in the weather do make it worse.

I've had the same thing for the past week or so. Wake up in the middle of the night all stuffed up. It could be pregnancy related but, for me, I think it's more the weather.

It probably isn't seasonal. I have had a stuffy nose for almost the entire pregnancy. It's a common symptom of pregnancy. The tissues in your nose become swollen because of the extra blood flow. I have gotten a few bloody noses while pregnant also and I never get them otherwise. The only thing that helps me is simple saline nose spray and propping myself up at night with an extra pillow. It's always worse at night. A humidifier helps a little bit also. I normally never have a stuffy nose unless I'm sick, I swear I have gone through more tissues while pregnant than in the last 5 years. Lol
