Q: 8 week ultrasound appointment

Hi everyone,
I am currently only 4 weeks 2 days pregnant, I have an ultrasound appointment when I'll be 8 weeks exactly. I'm having this appointment because I had a missed miscarriage 2 months ago, there was no heart beat at 6 weeks and I didn't misscarry until 11 weeks. So my midwife wants to see if there's a heart beat since I'm so worried about it :(

Does anyone know if you see or hear the heart beat at 8 weeks?

Yes you should see the HB unless your dating is off. I went it thinking I was 8.5 weeks and I was actually only 7 weeks...if I had gone in a week earlier, I wouldn't have seen a hb and probably freaked out. Good luck!!!

You should. I saw a heartbeat at 6w2d on the ultrasound.

Yes you'll be able to hear and see the heartbeat :)

At 8 weeks you should definitely be able to see the heartbeat. At my office you don't get to hear the heartbeat til around 14-16w when they start using the doppler

I just had an ultrasound at 5w5d and saw the lil heart just a fluttering away :) I think you're probably gonna see it just fine at 8wks :)
