Q: when does the yolk sac disappear ?

im 11 weeks 3 days and had an ultrasound today they still saw the yolk sac is that normal ?? i wont see my dr for another 9 days

From what I have read and been told the placenta won't fully take over until up to week 12-13. I wouldn't worry too much about it. :)

i think thats normal as the placenta doesn't kick in until 12-14 weeks
