Q: Is this a bad sign?.

Went to see my doctor since i was in pain. I am only 5 weeks 3 days. During the ultra sound my doctor found a blood clot behind my baby. I am now worried because a million things are running through my mind. Am i going to lose my baby?. Is my baby only partially attached?. Will that blood clot go away?. Since I have had no bleeding my doctor isn't to worried about it. Said we will see in a few days if this is a viable pregnancy or not and want me to relax this weekend. But now I am even more freaked out. Has anyone had this issue?.

@andycooper5, thank you for your reply. This post was actually from last year. I sadly lost my sweet girl when I was 5 months pregnant due to complications. I was worried because I have a history of miscarriages but thank you for your response.

I think that you are surely over thinking about the blood clot. I know it is very natural behaving the way that you are, stressed and tensed about anything that you feel within your body or some tests like ultrasounds. No doctor will ever recommend you anything that can possibly be harm to you and your child. But only if worrying could make your probkems go away, there would be no sadness left in the world, right? I know it is all better said than done, but neither is your worrying going ti make any difference. But being aware and acting clever is sure going to make a difference. Every woman has an entirely different pregnant story and contition, in your case maybe the blood clot is. In these situations even the doctors can't promise or give away firm judgements, because they can't claim the result by merely seeing it through an ultraaound sheet. If there were to happen something bad, it will. Nevertheless of you worrying about it. But there runs a fine line between worrying and caring

@traumaqueen, It has not gone away yet. My doctor stated that since there is no bleeding and our little love is still growing that everything is ok. It will either go away or stick around until the end but it is in no way affecting the baby right now. Still has me on edge.

I had a rather large subchorionic hemorrhage discovered when I was 5w5d (so right about where you are). I had tons and tons of cramping my first trimester, but no bleeding at all. By my 12wk scan, the hemorrhage was gone. They're very, VERY common.

Just listen to your dr. Relax as much as possible. The reason your dr wants you to is because things like that can either heal by themselves or if you don't stop stressing and relax as much as possible cause the worse to happen. Hoping everything turns out in your favor.
