Q: pregnancy confirmation

ok so i went to the clinic the other day to get proof of pregnancy for medicaid so that i can make mt first dr appointment with the ob. they told me i have to wait 2 weeks after i have missed my period before they can confirm pregnancy. is that normal or should they be able to do that right away? i am 5 weeks now! thanks for any comments!

Yes, a lot of places don't want to see you until you are at least 8 weeks along. It sucks. Sorry you have to deal with it.

They probably mean that they don't want to see you so early encase you miscarry. Many places are like that :(
