Q: Hpt lines not getting darker... Anyone go on to have a nornal pregnancy?

I had a faint positive line ( faint but with color) the very next day after I had cramping and implantation spotting (brown flecks). I thought it was insanely early to test positive especially since I wasn't sure when I ovulated. Now its been six days since that first positive and the lines have either stayed the same or gotten lighter only to get darker again. All of them are however in the very faint spectrum. Ive had a chemical pregnancy before but I never had a linr get darker after they had gotten lighter before. Could it be that Implantation is not complete and that I ovulated late therefore I still havent technically even missed my period? Or is it the case that once you get a positive it should always get stronger regardless of whether you are testing before your missed period?

Well it depends on how far along you are, your hcg could just be rising slowly which I've read about and most go on to have a healthy pregnancy. In your case I don't think its a chemical as with a chemical it means the egg did not implant therefore you would get your period like normal and usually on the day its due, since it's been 6 days I assume your period date has come and gone. I would call and make an appt to get some bloods drawn, a blood test will tell you for sure weather your hcg is rising(normally or slowly) or if its staying the same, it will give you much more relief than another pregnancy test. Good luck hun, I wish all the best.
