Q: Glucose Test

I will be 21 weeks tomorrow. I am curious as to when I should be having my glucose test done to test for gestational diabetes. I been having a lot of sweets due to cravings and I try not to give in to every craving but I am worried about it.

When did you lovely ladies have yours done?

Mine are done at 28 weeks as well. I think that is pretty normal unless they have a reason to do it early. I think they might do it early if your fasting blood sugar is high on your initial labs.

Most are at 28 Weeks, They do it earlier if genetics prove a need for it... Last pregnancy I had it in first trimester but this pregnancy I wont be having it done till my 28 Week appointment. So it really depends on your situation

I am at 14 weeks tomorrow and had the test done 2-3 weeks ago. I think it just depends on your doctor's preferences.

Hi, I just received my appointment letter for the Glucose Tolerance test (GTT) which I will be having when I am 25 weeks and 5 days. I am currently 23 weeks and 6 days. I think they like to do it between weeks 25-28. So I'm guessing you should receive an appointment soon!
