Q: Stupid question: How to read week-by-week pregnancy guides?

It's a bit late for me to be asking this question, but I really like reading week-by-week pregnancy guides, both online and in my pregnancy books. But it's unclear to me which week I should be reading at any given time. For example, right now I'm 26 weeks + 2 days. So do I read the 26 week entry or the 27 week entry? It seems like being 26+ weeks means I'm in my 27th week, but often the 27-week entry reads as if I'm supposed to be the full 27 weeks. Anybody know?

My OB told me that when you're for example, 27 weeks + X days, that means you have completed week 27 and you are in week 28. So, I disagree with the other answers and think you should be reading the entries for the week you are in, not the week you have completed.

You're in your 26th week until you hit 26weeks 6 days. Then the following day begins week 27. I always like to read the current week and the upcoming week to see what to expect and to see what's to come.
