Q: Progesterone vaginal suppositories...side effects?

I am 6 weeks pregnant and still breastfeeding. I have a history of m/c so my OB tested my progesterone and it came back at 11.2 (at 5 weeks). He said that is not low at all, but for my peace of mind I could start the progesterone suppositories. So all of that to ask...what are some side effects with taking it? The pharmacy usually includes a list and what to watch for and they didn't. Too late to call OB, but curious as to what I can expect.

I take them I have no side effects except for wearing a panty liner. I take 100mg twice a day

Thank you! I took it last night and I did get some mild cramps...which scared me a little bit. Then I was so tired about 30min after I took I couldn't stay awake. But that is ok since they told me I needed to be laying down for at least 30min after inserting so it wouldn't slip out. I am still really tired today. Wonder what tomorrow will bring!

I am on 100mg pills at night myself. I will tell you one side effect I have had, which my Dr. warned me about is it makes me very sleepy. So I take it at night before I go to bed. Otherwise, I have had a little of the brownish discharge but nothing too bad. I am 8 wks and 4 days.

The side effects are the same as pregnancy symptoms. So expect to feel more pregnant. Also it makes me feel better your doc is ok with 11 cause my numbers came back @ 10.3 and I'm also a little freaked. If my HCG doubling time is good tomorrow I will be starting progesteron tomorrow evening.

im taking 100 mg at bedtime since i started i have some mild cramping after it goes in and occ. light brown discharge which my dr assured me is normal. I started at 3 weeks 5 days and am now 12 weeks ! hope it helps you !
