Sadly I had this TWICE. I was prescribed the antibiotic and took the pills however when I went back for the re-check it wasn't gone and they gave me a cream that I had to vaginally insert-it was messy and a pain in the butt to use BUT the cream was the only thing that cleared it up for me. My doctor said they are finding that it is a common diagnosis they have been seeing more of and that the pill form isn't taking care of it as well as they'd like; hense the cream the second round. I haven't had an issue since :) Best of luck!!
