About the subway thing- I don't have deli meats because in a way its honestly because most meats to me during this pregnancy sound like barf... but when I go to subway I get either the veggie sub or the BLT sub. Obviously the veggie is healthier but the only meat i crave is like salty meats like ham or bacon... idk.. lol Pregnancy.. does such weird things to your body! hahaha..

Yes, fish with high levels of mercury such as Marlin, Orange roughly, Tilefish, Swordfish, Shark, Mackerel (king) &
Tuna ( Bigeye, Ahi). These types of fish have the highest mercury and cannot be eaten during pregnancy. Too much mercury can affect the developing brain and nervous system, so no more then 12 oz of low mercury fish per week.
It's not safe to eat precooked meats such as deli meats (ham, salami, turkey breast), hot dogs, and pâté when you're pregnant unless they're heated until steaming hot. Pregnant women are about 20 times more likely than other healthy adults to get listeriosis. Listeria can cross the placental barrier or, more commonly, be transmitted in the birth canal, and it can be devastating for the baby.
Hope this helps!

You shouldn't have Subway as even when they "toast" it the temperature isn't hot enough to kill any bacteria ! I would avoid !

My doctor gave me a list of safe fish that I can eat (10-12 ounces a week). I know you have to be careful certain types of fish too and make sure that they are wild caught and not farm raised. My doctor had a print out of foods you should see if yours has one.

I lived on deli meat with my first pregnancy and my daughter is fine. If it hadn't been for Subway, I wouldn't have been able to eat. It was pretty much the only thing I could keep down. As long as you heat it to steaming, deli meat is okay.

Like the others have said, no raw fish, and try not to eat cooked fish too often.

yep both are on the no eating list. If you do eat lunch meats you need to reheat them. You can eat fish though. Salmon that is well cooked is a great choice and full of some great nutrients and vitamins! If you are a sushi fan while you cannot eat raw fish anymore.. you can still get rolls that are cooked like california rolls.

Yes to no raw fish. Small amounts of cooked medium sized fish are ok. The larger the fish to higher the mercury levels. Lunch meat is a personal choice but you should limit even if you dont take it away all together and fresh deli meat is better pre packaged meats. Also soft or blue cheeses are on the no eat list.

NO raw fish at all, but you can eat cooked fish, although there is certain fish where you should limit your portions and some fish you should avoid altogether.

Deli meats should also be avoided.

But overall, people have done a lot worse during pregnancy than eat the wrong foods and have had healthy babies so take it with a pinch of salt and just be sensible :)
