	My mother lost a baby between my brother and I. She has always said she felt strongly it was a girl and she had picked this name for her.

	Hebrew, comes specifically from Ashkenazi Jewish culture, which my husband has a small part of in his background. It means "joyful song". I thought it was particularly appropriate, since my husband is a musician. My current favorite.
