Emily Noelle's Birth Story

Had to be at the hospital at 6am. Dr broke my water at 8:30am. Contractions started getting intense after that...got spinal block at 10:30am (was supposed to have epi but stupid person was training and screwed up). That lasted maybe 2 hours, then every 15 to 20 mins after that they had to keep rigging me up with more numbing pain meds...dr was even by my side while I was pushing getting ready to put more in my IV just incase it wore off while pushing. Anyways, by 5:23pm I was 10 centimeters and nurse told me I was ready to push!! Jeff held one leg and the nurse held the other, I grabbed onto my thighs and pushed pushed pushed till 6:15pm when I finally heard my baby girl cry!! I exploded with emotions at that very second, bawling my eyes out and my body started shaking uncontrollably! The love I felt for my baby girl at that very second with without a doubt the most intense feeling I have ever felt, and it's done nothing but get stronger with every passing day!!!! Since the birth, I have gone thru horrible spinal headaches, with 3 blood patches. Probably the worst pain I have ever experienced! Glad to say that the 3rd one finally worked and I'm in no more pain, headache wise that is!! I would do it all over again with the same consequences just to have my beautiful baby girl with me!!

Forking** out all that money in the end. Some people say that they will get most of it from your baby shower. Welllllll chances are you might get some diapers, some bibs, random bottles....I didn't really get anything big. My biggest object was a bumbo infant seat. So, start early even if you aren't gender positive. Oh, and i can't wait to send you a gift! :-)

Trust me, start buying now. (Rather after your first ultrasound.) Buy the bottles or pacifiers, blankets, anything you don't mind being In neutral. Even the crib! I began buying things when I was just 5 weeks pregnant with my first and at this time I was 17 and my sister, whom was raising me because my mom passed away, thought I was dumb for buying so early. Well, it was super smart. Sure it seems early, but you will be so happy you aren't dorkbg
