Marquardt van Jean's Birth Story

On Sept. 1, 2014, I walked for about 20 minutes around the living room as an early morning exercise at around 6:00 AM. After that, I took some rest and laid down on my bed and tried to go back to sleep when suddenly an ample amount of water flushed out (3 times) so I checked first whether I was leaking urine but it isn't! I stood up and water was flowing down my legs. I hurriedly called my doctor and I took a bath. I was rushed to the hospital and headed directly to the labor room, at around past 8:00 AM I had 1 cm dilation. Unfortunately, the small dilation lasted until 6:00 PM in the evening so my OB decided to induce me 5 units of oxytocin and took buscopan for further contractions. Pain became intense and the dilation only lasted until 3cm at almost 12:00 AM on Sept. 2, 2014 so my OB decided to proceed Emergency Caesarian Section. The operation lasted for almost 2 hours I guess. I only knew that the baby was born when I heard his first cry at 1:23AM and it was really a great relief and very special moment to me although I felt very weak and dizzy due to the anesthesia but I still managed to give him my first kiss. I spent almost 2 hours of rest at the recovery room before proceeding to my room. He was sent to my room on Sept.3, 2014 and I breastfed him. Good thing my mom was there by my side all through out the process.
