So I chased up the hospital today for my bloods as I know they said if I had no contact that everything was ok but the not knowing and living in limbo is harder then anything. The midwife took my number and said she'd check and call back. I received call about half hour later and my infection bloods were clear and neither my partner nor I have any cells detecting cystic fibrosis! Although nothing would have changed my feelings towards my lil growing boy it's like a huge weight has been lifted knowing he's not at risk. It means there is obviously no explanation as to why he has an echogenic bowel but he's either one of the 95% that has no explanation for it or he may be smaller in size at birth. I have my first growth scan in 5weeks so we can see how he's doing but for now I have a little less to worry about :)

Comment from Kelzm84 » Posted Jan. 27, 2016 10:17am Thank you. Glad all was good for you too. It is more the worry of the challenges they'd have to face rather then us! As mummies we will just deal with everything ensuring our little ones get the best :) not long now until we get scanned again to check his growth but his constant acrobatics tell me he's all good :) | |
Comment from ericalee » Posted Jan. 12, 2016 11:51am So happy you received good results!! Sounds like when we received the results that our little girl did NOT have Down Syndrome. I would have loved her no matter what, but so happy she did not have to worry about any medical challenges she would have had. Now you can relax and just enjoy the rest of the pregnancy!! |
