About Me
This is my sixth pregnancy, but will hopefully result in my first child. I suffer from recurrent miscarriage and am now seeing an RI, Dr. KK, to help with an underlying autoimmune issue we think is causing me to miscarry.Fingers crossed tightly that this is our miracle baby!! :)
Picture is of my husband and me from August 2014, just a few days after finding out about this little miracle.
My Birth Plan
I would like as few interventions as possible, but since I have never been in labor before I am open to whatever needs to happen to get the baby in our arms safely. The order of things I would like to avoid (with the first thing being the thing I want to avoid the most)
1. C-section
2. Pitocin
3. Epidural
We are going to be hiring a doula to be there with us. Since this is our first rodeo and I would like to try going natural, I would really appreciate any positions or tips the doula has on this whole birth process. Plus, she will also snap some photos of those first moments for us, which is really important to me and lastly, will be doing placenta encapsulation. The benefits of this that I have read about are entirely positive so it seemed like a no brainer to me. :)
