15 Week U/S and Doctor took a Guess!

Today was your 15 week ultrasound and the first time you were starting to look like a fully formed, chubby baby. You had a big round belly and you were a lot more proportionate than when we last saw you at 11 weeks 5 Days. I asked Dr. Lee if we could detect the sex and she said it was pretty early and they normally wait until 17-20 weeks to make predictions but I told her I really wanted to know her thoughts and I wouldn't hold it against her if she did take a guess and then it turned out to be different down the road so she said well let's talk a look and see...your heart beat was good at 156 bpm. They can't measure your length from head to rump anymore because there's too much of you curled up so now they measure your tummy which was so round! You measured 15 weeks on the nose! Your fingers and toes were now easy to see! Then she moved the wand around to try and look between your little legs. It was really hard to see but Dr. Lee said "what's that, do we see something?"and sure enough we saw a little somethin somethin sticking out and two small round parts that could be a scrotum. The girl and boy parts look amazingly similar in the early stages so it could still be forming but Dr. Lee said "if I had to guess right now, I'd say boy". Daddy and I were thrilled. My instinct had been saying boy all along (Daddy too) but of course we would be happy with any healthy baby! Hey...you may still end up a girl so we're not sharing the findings with many but we'll know with a lot more certainty when we go back in 4 weeks at 19 weeks. YAY! Everything is starting to feel a lot more real! Mommy and Daddy already love you so much LB! Keep doing so good in there!
