I went in to my OB's office for bloodwork yesterday, and just got off the phone with my nurse. She gave me my results (as follows):
Progesterone: 14.58 (average per American Pregnancy: 9 - 47)
HCG: 46 (average per American Pregnancy: 5 - 426)
The HCG is low, she says, but not in such a way that we should be concerned. She said that the progesterone was AWESOME (!) for this early on. I took that as a good sign. She said that most OBs won't treat progesterone if it's that close to 15, which is ideal, but that mine has decided to go ahead and put me on a progesterone supplement for a week or so to get it as high as possible, given my history of miscarriages.
I wondered why my HPTs were only faint positive up to this point! She has made me feel a LOT better, although I'll only feel secure when we get the doubling results back. :/ FX.

Comment from lobethh » Posted May. 22, 2013 7:21pm I'm trying not to number crunch... When I miscarried last June my HCG was 260. :/ I know we can't put any faith in the numbers because the variance is so huge, but I still worry. Thanks for the comment! I'd love to hear about that ultrasound, because we're very close (only 1 day, I think?) to the same due date. :) Sticky dust to you! | |
