Geez. So I get home from the grocery story yesterday, walk in to the living room, and there sits my DH in the recliner on his cell phone. I say, "Whatcha doin'?" and he responds, "Nothing, just checking Facebook. I let everyone know."
... Do what? You let everyone know WHAT? Please tell me it's that you have a bunyun, or that you decided you really enjoy my jambalaya. Or that the dog pooped in the hall. Cause, you know, those are safe things to LET PEOPLE KNOW. [facepalm]
Yeah. He decided that because it was Father's Day it would be good to announce to the online universe that we're expecting. UGH. Lol - it's cute, he's excited, I get it. But we're at 8w3d... not 15! And so, because if my friends saw it on his page but not mine they'd be mad at me, I went ahead and added a status update too. (sigh)
Fingers crossed this wasn't a mistake!

It's a hard time finding the right time to tell because you don't want to offend people who think you should've told them to their face or on the phone... I have a friend whose MIL posted an US pic and tagged her in it at week 8! Always exciting to be expecting in the time of social media! |
