This weekend we registered for our baby shower! It still feels odd to be having a shower, considering this is my second child... but my Joey will be NINE (OMG, nine!) when Wyatt comes along in January. So, even though it's not technically bad etiquitte, I have a bit of a hard time asking for baby presents on the 2nd baby. This is also DH's first, so I guess it's all okay in the end.

I realize, however, just exactly how long it's been since I did this "baby" thing. I had forgotten so much in the last several years! Until I was reminded, I forgot about needing a high chair. Lol. All is well, though, and we'll use the completion discount that Babies 'R Us offers on whatever we don't receive. I am super stoked about the travel system that we're getting! It's gender neutral and feels so fancy. ;)

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAND,
We're changing up the house. We actually had started on a list of miscellaneous projects before we found out we were pregnant, but since then everything has kicked into overdrive. Sanding all of the wood and built ins to paint them white, priming and painting all the walls, new doors and door frames throughout the whole house. And then once that is done, wood flooring! And then, of course, crown molding and baseboards, new cabinet doors on all of the bookshelves... It's exhausting but still exciting. I can't wait for DH and FIL to finish up the nursery so I can get in there and start to put it all together.

My MIL and FIL are splitting the cost of nursery furniture with my dad - THE BEST GIFT EVER. I had forgotten how expensive everything was. I can't wait, though, to put it to USE! (Photo attached - The "Savanna Tori" set at JCP. It's so PRETTY.)

Yesterday was my "halfway" point. 19w3d pregnant and 19w3d to go. I could go change my due date but that feels like cheating. Lol. I'm just running the countdown now - 19w2d to go! C'MON! I'm glad that we found out that our boy is a boy - this gives me something to distract myself with (shopping!) until Halloween, then the shower, then Thanksgiving, then my DS's birthday, then Christmas and then finally our newest baby boy. I'm hoping that once we hit October time will start to fly...

Fingers crossed. ;)
