10 Weeks, 2 Days...

Time is flying by but at the same time it also feels like it's standing still. Strange how you can experience both sensations at the same time...

Anyway moving along! I had an appointment with my GP yesterday morning just to check in and also to get my referral to the hospital ante-natal clinic. Very exciting! Whilst there she asked how I was doing and I admitted that I was starting to feel a little anxious as we neared the point in my pregnancy that we got to last time when we MC'd. Her solution was to send me off for an ultrasound :-)

So a few hours later there we were sitting in the waiting room ready for an ultrasound! We were beyond excited. We'd listened to the heartbeat that morning but it was still great that we were going to see the little critter again on the screen.

All went well. He/she was very chill to start with then BAM - it was punching and kicking up a storm! How amazing! With the last pregnancy we had just the one ultrasound at 8w2d and bub didn't move or even have visible limbs, it was very much your traditional peanut shaped baby! So this was just so wonderful to see and experience. We both cried - how could we not?! :-) Bub also measured ahead at 10w4d (so ahead by 3 days) but they didn't recommend a change in my due date. That's ok. I'm used to having an EDD of 30 June now...

I have attached a pic of our little one and tbh I simply can't stop staring at it! The NT scan is on 20th December and it doesn't seem too far away now that we had this scan yesterday.

On another note, I have puss on my tonsils! I noticed it late yesterday afternoon and whilst I wasn't feeling poorly then I am now! Needless to say I will be heading home shortly to rest. I have done what I need to this morning with respect to this tender and have to review it again this afternoon but thankfully I can do that at home. The jobs of having remote access - ahhh.

Ok, until next time... :-)

Thanks guys :-) Amanda I hate it when I have tonsillitis it usually keeps me bedridden for days so am hoping I can gargle salt water & do what I can without needing antibiotics. I had to take them last time & really don't want to this pregnancy. Fingers crossed :-)
