|Tags: Planning to Breastfeed Pregnant after Miscarriage Pregnant in my 30s|
About MeMy name is MeLissa but I go by Lissa or Lissy with friends and family. I am 30 years old and we've been ttc for 13 months. After a mmc in November 2012 (we found out at 9.5 weeks that the baby had stopped developing at 6.5 weeks) I was devasted and never thought I'd be happy again. However, I eventually found happiness again, and this new pregnancy had made me so much happier.
After my mmc it took 6 weeks for my periods to resume... and this is when the fertility problems began. My luteal phase which I thought was at 10 days was really at 9 (I was calculating DPOs wrong) and then it fell to 7. Then I started spotting at 4DPO. After harassing my obgyn she finally referred me to an RE. They immediately gave me an Rx for supplemental progesterone starting 2DPO; however, this is when I stopped ovulating on my own. They also did a slew of blood tests and found out I wasn't immune to the chicken pox. So since I wasn't ovulating I decided to get the vaccine which meant we had to wait at least a month before we could ttc. So after the vaccine we met wtih the RE and she decided to start me on letrozole but before we should do an FD utlrasound.. and of course I had one at 13mm so we couldn't start the meds yet. So we had to take that cycle off, but went ahead and did the progesterone testing after I ovulated. The progesterone numbers came back horrible 2.82 when they need to be above a 10 so the RE upped the progesterone Rx and decided to couple the letrozole Rx with a trigger shot.
My first cycle on 5mg of letrozole I had two beefy follicles on the right side but one of them stopped developing before we triggered. That cycle ended with a bfn.
This cycle my RE kept me on the 5mg of letrozole and trigger shot but added 150iu of bravelle on CD9. I was disappointed that I only had one follicle at my fd ultrasound but it only takes one obviously!! I tested this morning and got my bfp! I couldn't hardly believe it. I am sooo happy! I just hope this one sticks!
