First Ultrasound - 9/4/13 TWINS!!!!!

Today we had our first u/s at 10w1d! Jim and I were joking on the way there, that it would be funny if we had twins, but we were more nervous about just having a healthy baby. We waited for what felt like an eternity in the waiting room and we were finally called back. They did a transvaginal u/s. Right away we saw the baby, and heard the excellent heartbeat which was just amazing! The u/s tech measured my ovaries and then moved around a bit and I saw what I thought was another sac, and sure enough she said surprise! Then we got to hear Baby B's heartbeat which sounded excellent as well! I started crying happy tears as soon as she said there were 2 two, and Jim was a bit choked up as well. Since she couldn't get a good picture of Baby B from that angle, she did an abdominal u/s and got a picture of Baby B and one with both babies in it. We spent the next 20 minutes looking at the pictures and talking about how crazy it was, and then we went back to see the cnm, Mandy. She said everything looks good and we'll have an u/s every 4 weeks, so our next one is Sept 30th!
We told our parents and all were very excited!!
We are shocked, but SO happy about our double blessing! Praying for happy, healthy babies!
