I thought since today was such a special day numerically, that I'd add a new journal entry. I'm so excited, tomorrow we're going to pick up a crib with attached changing table on it for the new baby. We still have our crib from the other three kids, but Jocelyn will be sharing a room with the new baby now so we need to conserve as much space as possible. And this one has three drawers (I'd say about 12x12x12) which will be nice for clothes etc, and three shelves next to the drawers, which will be nice for tubs for diapers and all the "changing table essentials" Best part is: It's only $20!!! LOVE the local rummage sale websites on facebook!!! The next purchase is a heartbeat doppler machine. I found a really nice one for $40 on ebay. I also started digging out all the baby stuff we still had left from Parker to take "inventory" of what we have and what we'll need. I'm pretty thrifty by nature and try to shop early. It's a lot easier to buy one thing every other week that the baby will need versus being crunched and financially burdened by a huge list at the end. I'd rather buy things along the way and have money saved at the end for diapers and formula etc.

At my prenatal appointment yesterday my Dr. said that we will be able to find out the sex of the baby at my next prenatal appointment; so now we're stuck with a decision to make.... Do we wait another week for our formal ultrasound to find out the sex and have it be a secret until Christmas morning like we originally planned, or break down and find out December 10th???? I would love to know ASAP but this being our last baby, would also like it to be extra special. We were going to have the tech put the sex determination photo in an envelope and seal it. Then, we were going to wrap it and put it under the tree to open together as a family Christmas morning. what to do....

Oh I love the idea of finding out as a Christmas gift. How special is that? Not many have that opportunity. I too will be finding out the sex of the baby just before Christmas. But I plan on finding out at the appointment and making gender announcements to send out in Christmas cards for friends and family to find out as a Christmas gift. We don't have our friends and family close by so I figured that would be something special for us.
